7/8 Band @ Analy Fall Festival - Friday, October 23; 4 PM

Please attend the 7/8 band's first performance of the year . They
will be playing in the Analy High School auditorium on Friday,
October 23 at 4 PM. Parents, please send your child to school with
his or her uniform on Friday. Also, please pick your student up from
the Hillcrest parking lot promptly at 5 PM on Friday.

Music Boosters Meeting 10/14/09 5:30-6:30 Hillcrest Music Room

All parents of 6-8 music students are invited to the fall music
boosters meeting where we will discuss vonunteer oportunities for the
2009-10 school year.

Wed. Oct. 7; 3:30-5:30 - Music Man rehearsal ENTIRE CAST

A detailed rehearsal schedule for the entire production will be
distributed at this rehearsal. The schedule will soon be posted to the
calendar on this site.

Music Man - First Rehearsal Wed. Sept. 30, 3:30-5:30 PM; Entire Cast

We had an incredible turnout for the "Music Man Jr." auditions! Casting decisions were very difficult because there were so many talented students who auditioned. The first rehearsal is Wednesday, September 30 from 3:30-5:30 PM for the entire cast. To accept your role, please attend this rehearsal or make special arrangements with Mr. Fichera if you cannot attend. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed in the coming weeks.

"The Music Man" is this year's drama production

This year's drama production will be "The Music Man." There will be a
meeting for all 6-8 grade students interested in participating on
Wednesday, September 9 from 3:30-4:00 PM in the Hillcrest music room.

Strings & Jazz Ensembles have begun!

String & Jazz Ensembles have begun! All students on the Hillcrest
campus who have experience with violin, viola, cello or bass are
invited to participate in the string ensemble on Monday and Wednesday
mornings from 7:55-8:30 AM. The class gives students an opportunity
to develop their skills through playing fun music like movie themes
and rock transcriptions. Students in grades 6-8 are invited to
participate in jazz band on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

The year is off to a great start!

Both the 7/8 and 6 grade bands are already sounding great! Please
ensure that sixth graders bring their instruments EVERY day; seventh
graders Tuesday/Thursday/Friday; and eighth graders Monday/Wednesday/
Friday.

Welcome Back!

Hope you all had a restful and rejuvenating summer! 7/8 Band students
begin bringing their instruments on Friday, August 28. Jazz Band
begins Tuesday, September 1 and Strings begins Wednesday, September 2.

Congratulations to all of the 8th graders who graduated last night.  They will be missed.
